BidSwiss is a secure, fully automated online auction platform. Users can register, view active auctions, and bid anonymously on auction items. All auction activities are managed through automated systems with payment processing via Stripe.
When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication and account management purposes.
We collect and store your auction participation history, bid amounts, and auction outcomes to manage bids and facilitate payments to winning bidders.
We do not store your banking or credit card details. Payment information is handled exclusively through Stripe via Setup Intent for secure payment processing. Only Stripe tokens and payment records are stored in our database.
We collect IP addresses, browser types, and session information for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement purposes.
We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with our platform, including pages visited, time spent, and general location data (country/region level).
We use cookies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze platform usage.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. We use Stripe's Setup Intent to authorize and process payments for auction winners. Your card details are not stored on our servers - only Stripe tokens for payment processing are retained. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.
We maintain logs of auction activities, CRON worker processes, payment transactions, and platform access for security, debugging, and compliance purposes. Logs are retained for the duration necessary to fulfill these purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure database practices, and access controls to protect your personal data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal disputes).
